Author R.S. Whiteside’s first book Evolution in Form and Consciousness traces the evolutionary process through the extensive writings of Alice Bailey.
This is not the Darwinian evolution that our science knows or that in which the Creationist believes, yet it is a presentation that accepts something of both schools of thinking.
Mostly the book presents an evolutionary process that is not scientifically verifiable in the strict sense, in fact it often stands in contradiction to current mainstream science. The open minded reader may eventually conclude that what we believe often bears little relation to reality. An appendix draws upon separate topics that are discussed in detail. These stand by themselves, and are presented to show the particular impact of that topic upon the evolutionary process of man. The Bailey series will devote an entire volume or volumes to a discussion of such topics.
The Bailey series is a modern treatment of what is termed “the ancient wisdom teaching”. This information has always been available to the searcher to find when they are ready. The series was first published in the first half of the 20th century, and is a very thorough treatment of the philosophy which is man and his world in mostly subjective terms. So, it takes patience and perseverance to absorb the information.
